The SUBARC manual unit is a portable welding manipulator designed for non-oscillated welding applications. It is primarily used in submerged arc welding (SUBARC) with pressurized or gravity feed flux delivery systems. Additionally, it is well-suited for cold feed TIG, MIG, solid core, and flux core applications. The unit is highly adjustable, featuring nine different axes of adjustability. It performs best on horizontal workpieces with diameters of five feet or less, while vertical applications have no diameter restrictions. It also works well for cladding applications in repair jobs.

Description:

  • Portability & Mobility: Mounted on a base with four swivel casters (two of which are lockable), making it easy to maneuver.

  • Adjustability: Features nine different axes of adjustability, allowing users to fine-tune positioning for various welding applications.

  • User-Controlled Motion Axes: Two axes are directly user-controlled for precise manual movement.

  • With a 4 x 8 working envelope  It has welded vessels up to 6' in diameter.

  • Compatible Welding Applications:

    • SUBARC (submerged arc welding) with gravity feed or pressurized flux systems.

    • Cold feed TIG, best suited for workpieces five feet in diameter or less.

    • MIG welding applications.

    • Solid core and flux core wire applications (ideal for horizontal welding on workpieces five feet in diameter or less).

    • Cladding applications for repair jobs.

Best Use Cases:

  • Horizontal SUBARC welding with small gravity feed or pressurized flux systems.

  • Rotational welding on positioners or pipe rolls, particularly for workpieces up to 6 feet in diameter.

  • Cold feed TIG applications, best suited for ≤6-foot diameters in horizontal applications.

  • Dragging MIG, solid core, or flux core wire applications within the recommended diameter range.

  • Vertical applications are not limited by diameter.

  • Cladding for repair jobs, providing a reliable solution for rebuilding worn or damaged surfaces.

The SUBARC manual unit is a versatile, easy-to-use, and highly adjustable solution for a range of manual welding automation needs, making it a strong choice for improving efficiency in specialized welding operations.
